[7.450][BUG][FIXED] All downloaded .exe gives "File not Found"

I can confirm this, and it is not limited to *.exe files.

I have after 2 new installs the same Probleme with the Content scan. I cant download .exe files. Without scan engine goes Download all files.

i can´t confirm that Bug, I tested many downloads, *.exe & *.msi files.

All files were downloaded of the ASG, on viruses scanned and then to store released.

thespawn which browser do you use? do you have both engines enabled?which *exe file did you download successfully?

i use IE 7.0.6001.18000 on Win Vista.
Both scanner are enabled and the max filesize is 50MB.

I have successfully downloaded e.g. Firefox, Super and some Patches / SP´s from Microsoft. All files testing only...^^

I attached some Pictures you can see the test download from Super.exe

Workstation:

See the same behavior when downloading a .rtf file through the scanner.

I just got the same error when trying to download an exe.  I have a couple ideas I'm going to try.

Something interesting, if you right click on the download to disk icon and copy the link and past it in the address bar and delete everything after http://passthrough.fw-notify.net/download/******/ (****** being a random 6 digit number) it will then let you save the file with a random name with a .part extension.  If you rename that file to what you downloaded it will work.  So not sure whats wrong, but that worked.

interesting. I have exe blocked in the download suffix group (http proxy) and an exe file downloaded without missing a beat. I am using a config from my 7.403 build and the same files went through there without any problems.

I did a fresh build of 7.450, same issue in IE 8.0, FireFox, and Chrome. Removed *.exe from restricted file ext. list.

This is probably also the URL parser bug, which is fixed now. Thanks for reporting.

just to let you know, tried to to download a file with .bin extension which is blocked with "file not found" as well.

but maybe its just because it is an cisco asa image ;-)

Don't think that's because of the Cisco image [:)] - the URL parser bug should show up regardless of the File extension.
