Hi,
Firstly - a big "Thank You" for Uplink balancing!! Fantastic improvement!!
Now the issue!:
If one of the configured multipath connections is down for a short period of time (several minutes), multipath uplink balancing will enable failover of the traffic to the good circuit. The faulty circuit appears to be polled and will move from 'Error' state to 'Up' once it can establish the faulty condition has been removed. Traffic flows again 'normally' though both links.
However, if the (DSL) connection fails for an extended period of time, the 'Error' state will not clear until you manually take the interface offline from the interfaces page and put back online.
Is it designed this way?
2 internet connections:
1 x DSL (Type: Ethernet Standard)
1 x Cable (Type: Cable Modem DHCP)
Uplink balancing enabled
Type Multipath
Automatic monitoring
Cheers,
Darren
