[CONFIRMED] [7.380] Crash after changing uplink priorities and adding multipath rules

first, happy new year 2009 for everyone there... [[:)]] I wish success, health and fun... [[:)]]

So I've a running astaro at the office with initially 7.360 beta version with 2 uplink:

N and C (N is on top of the list initially) but the ipsec daemon is binding on the active interface so here on N but we need it to bind on C (this is an issue I repported earlier...) so to workarround this I did set C as to be on top of uplink list and added a multipath rules as follow:

Source: Local Net
Service: Any
Destination: Any
by interface: N

but after activating this some seconds after the box is frozen... we can't do anything on the console (I'm not physically there so I can't get any message... but seems to be a crash..) so as after a reboot I've not enough time to check (it crashes again...) I can't get any message... I need to put a backup done before changes on the usb key while booting... 

For info I've 2 other multipath rules on top of the other rule for 2 given network to be reached through C

I tested that also with 7.380 with same results...

edit1: for info N is pppoe with initially new kernel mode... but same problem without kernel mode... and C is ethernet access through a cisco routeur...

    I've had something similar on my 425 running 7.380. I had four ISP lines setup using multipath, and when I added a fifth, the box locked up and rebooted. Upon finishing reboot, it ran for about a minute, then locked up and rebooted again. This happened repeatedly, until I physically unplugged the new ISP line. There was nothing in any of the logs, except evidence that the box had rebooted.

    I hooked up a screen, and saw a kernel panic error on the console before the reboot, but it went by too quickly to catch any details. 

    The fifth ISP I was trying to add, was a wireless connection that is somewhat flaky, so i left it disconnected. I was able to successfully add the same ISP connection a day later, with no changes, except that the line was behaving much better. 

    A few days ago, an ISP technician was working at this site, and did something to one of my DSL lines. That line went up and down several times. That same day, the ASG rebooted several times, though not immediately at the same time that the line went down. 

    I have a serial cable hooked up now, and am capturing console output to file, but it has not rebooted again since then, to catch any errors.

    The comment about the DSL line being tampered with causing a reboot rings true to me... I reported this same issue a week or so ago... are you using the kernel driver w/ PPPOE, by any chance (that's when I noticed the problem)?

    this is not related to the kernel mode pppoe as I did reported... everything is working fine if the DSL pppoe interface is first in the list...

    All my interfaces are Standard Ethernet, with static IPs. No PPPoE involved in my case.

    There is a issue with multipath rules, which have as "interface persistence" specified "by interface".

    If a connections matches this rule and the specified interface is down, the astaro will freeze.
    This issue will be fixed in the final 7.400 version.
