It seems that the new beta is using less memory than the old version. In 7.3 with 512 MB of Ram I am sitting around 69% fairly consistently. In 7.4 with 1024 MB of Ram I am sitting at 21%. Assuming 7.4 would use 42% if it only had 512 MB so that it a nice improvement to the memory management.
You are fortunate than. I am using 71% of 1024 after being up for 4 days.
It starts a lot lower and grows. I don't know what all services you have turned on though.
I'm using only 54% of 1024 and I'm running firewall, intrusion protection, im/p2p, http proxy (standard), ftp proxy, anti-virus (dual scan) and anti-spyware. CPU usage is nice and low, usually 0-1%.
Not necessarily a memory leak. linux uses memory freely over time for caches etc. Every version (5, 6 and 7) of mine has memory usage growth over time.

My ASG memory sits around the 46% of 1.9gb goes as high a 49%.
I turned on the Intrusion Protection and my memory usage jump from the low 30% (of 1 GB) to the low 50%. I made some other changes as well....I upped the virus scanning to a double scan and changed the scan size from 50 MB to 500 MB. When I am downloaded a file and it is being scanned I see my memory usage go up to the high 60% before falling back. I am seeing CPU usage around 10% (PIV@ 1.7 Ghz) which rises to 70-80% during the scan. I now have all the services turned on on my Gateway except for the last 3 -

I think I am going to toss in another 1 GB or ram as I have extra on hand and I don't like using up all my ram headroom. Has anybody played with adding ram to find the sweet spot?

After 12 days of use memory use is sitting at 71%. I did a restart on the box and with my services configuration I am sitting at 61% after the reboot. I plan to do a longer test and see if it continues to slowly rise or if it stops.

as long as you aren't using more than 10% of swap you are Fine. The memory usage display show application usage only..not how much is being used in cache..otherwise it would read 90-95% at all times.
