Does this persist after upgrading to a newer version?
Yes, downloaded the lastest updates and the problem persists. Using Shuttle K45, E5200 Core 2 Duo processor with 2 gigs RAM, on board NIC internal network, 3 Com PCI for external, FIOS 20mb PPoE internet connection. Install using SMP kernel, tried NOSMP option and install hung at detecting hardware screen.
