Hello,
I didn't know if this is a bug or a feature request :-)
I have connected a DSL-modem to the ASG. The DSL-modem connects via PPPoE to the internet.
Beside the "passive" PPPoE-feature the DSL-modem is manageable and has an own IP 192.168.177.2 / 24.
On ASG I have configured eth1 / WAN as type DSL (PPPOE). eth1 gets no IP address, the virtual interface ppp0 (on eth1) gets the external IP from the provider.
Now I want to create an Additional Address 192.168.177.1 on interface eth1 to get access to the management IP 192.168.177.2 of the DSL-modem. I create this additional address 192.168.177.1 and select the external pppoe/eth1-interface from the drop-down list. I made this additional address active but it's status on WebAdmin is never go up.
It would be a nice feature to select the "place", where the additional ip-address is bound to: eth1 OR ppp0. At the moment it seems to be attached to ppp0, which didn't work. On the console I can add the additional ip directly to the physical interface eth1 which works perfectly.
At the moment this is not possible via WebAdmin.
Regards,
Manuel Fischer
