[7.260] adding network group for route not working [CONFIRMED]

Probably already reported ? (not sure)

when in routing > create new static route with gateway type,
then selecting a new created network group does not work as network...
I can't save with the Network input blinking red..

this could be handy to declare a network group to use same gateway... if this is not supported you have to remove the network group possibility from the list...

Hi BuBU,

as far as i know, this is not a duplicate.
It is a mini-bug report regarding usability,
but more like a feature request regarding the actual use of groups.

We decided to evaluate whether network groups can safely be used
as static routing destinations. Chances are this can work out,
but evaluation will not be completed before the 7.300 release.
In order not to touch the same code twice, the usability fix
is postponed until the feature evaluation is complete.
I'm tracking this as Mantis #8746.

Hi nathanlock,

indeed, there is a feature request "service or network groups in policy based routing" (Mantis 7058). It is analogous, but not identical to the present request. In that sense, you are right. It just set the two IDs related such that i won't forget the other one when working one one of them.
