[7.260] automatic user creation not working [NOTABUG]

I have successfully connected my astaro mahcine to my Ad server.  I have automatic user creation enabled for all features.  When i log in as my AD account the user does NOT get added to the astaro user area.  I have tried with the other users on this network with the same results.  I am using firefox and have the http proxy set to sso mode.  I also have firefox accessing the proxy via FQDN and port 8080. Any ideas?

*update* i also tried it with IE with the same results.  I really don't want to have to populate the users manually again in the ASL..otherwise what is the usefulness of the AD integration?  It would be a huuuuge help if this worked for AD since so much of the advanced features require users to be created on the firewall for them to be useful.
