Sorry but I am unable to try the beta out this time round due to other commitments, but I have several service/feature requests that I logged a year ago, that I was told may be addressed in this version and I would like to know if they have been, If not ,I hope it is not too late to get them resolved.


Case #00055773: ability to see queued emails missing in V7
In version 6 you could see and manage the queued emails within the proxy content manager.

This functionality is no longer available in version 7, please could you add it back in to the quarantine manager interface or somwhere else please.

At the moment I have to ssh in to the firewall and run 
chroot /var/storage/chroot-smtp /bin/exim -bp

to get a list of what is still sitting on the firewall.

Case #00055692: Quarantine manager scrolling issue
When using the quarantine manager the heading scrolls off the screen that contains the from, subject, date etc line when you scroll down.

Also the scroll bars do not appear inside the window in Internet explorer 6 at all, but they do in Internet explorer version 7 both at the right hand side and the bottom, even if your display resoloution is wide enough to show the whole width of the page without scrolling. so why does it give a scroll bar at the bottom?

instead of a fixed width could it not size to the size of the screen?

Case #00055675: Daily Digest layout is corrupt when viewed with lotus notes
The daily digest email does not display correctly in lotus notes 6.5.3 the custom text ends up over the top of the summary table and the User: & Date lines get merged into one with no spaces. 

It looks fine when viewed in outlook but lotus notes does not render the html correctly. 

It can be partially worked round by removing all the custom text, but the User: & Date line is still all merged in to one. 

(I later resolved the User & date line issue by hacking the template myself but this is unsupported).

Case #00055677: DNS Flush cache option missing in V7

The option to flush the DNS cache is missing in V7, so if my ISP updates one of my domain records I have to wait until the astaro has decided to refresh that record before the change is available.

the current workaround is to restart the DNS proxy from the command line as root with the following command:

/var/mdw/scripts/named restart

    Cases #00055773 and #00055692 are corrected.

    Case #00055675 probably isn't, however this looks like a bug in the Notes client, since everyone else has no rendering problems. If you can find out which tweak to the HTML fixes it, we'll fix it for the release.

    Case #00055677 also isn't, I do plan some DNS enhancements in 7.400, however.

    I just added a 

     tag after the line


    This was enough to fix it as after the date a new table starts anyway, which generates a newline in itself.

    I did not come up with a fix for the custom text going over the top of the summary table though. I ended up having to remove all my custom text completley.

    Maybe you might be able to spot something now that you know notes behaves a bit badly with the 
     tag.

    One I forgot to raise on a smilar theme is, Lotus notes does not support thes display of png graphics (used in the executive report) and IBM state in their knowledgebase they never plan to either. Any chance of these being changed to gif's or jpegs?  (I know who uses Lotus notes these days? - I hope to move to Exchange one day [;)]  )

    This has been request by dozens of people, Are you going to allow the admins to send the digest out multiple times a day/at a specified time?  24 hours is too long to wait in some environments to find that an email got quarantined, like ours (we are an emergency air ambulance company 24x7x365) unofficialy, some people have been hacking crontab to acheive this.

    Last outstanding service request is
    CaseID 00055240  --  Cant create policy based routing
    In V6 you could use a services group on a policy based routing rule, V7 broke this and would just flash a red box when you tried to apply it, (with no error message).  Which meant you have use a separate rule for each service.  (Tedious).

    Has this been fixed?

    They have added the ability to custom schedule 2 times when the digests are sent out per day.... I agree, it's a much needed feature, glad they stuck that in there.

    Doesn't disabling and re-enabling the DNS proxy in webmin flush the cache?
    It always seemed to work for me in V6.

    There is no longer an Enable/Disable option for DNS Proxy in Version 7 ... it's always on.  They probably just need to add a "flush DNS cache" button to Webadmin, shouldn't be too difficult to implement.

    1) I'll check if we can apply the 

     fix without upsetting rendering elsewhere.

    2) We'll propably not use other picture formats. I hope this speeds up retirement of your Notes installation [:)]

    3) I'll file a bug for the policy route group stuff.
