[7.250] Import V6 Backup does not work [CONFIRMED]

I am currently running download v6.313. I have installed 7.3 Beta on new hardware and tried to import the settings backup file. Each time I get a message that the import has failed.

I have tried two different backup files and even tried renaming the file to 8.3 format and copied to root of drive but still the same problem.

Sorry, should have said using 7.250.

P.S. I have disabled encryption before making the V6 backup.

Oops, you indeed discovered a yet unknown bug that crept in during the implementation of ACC backups for 7.300. Thanks a lot for the report! I just fixed the issue, the fix will be contained in the next public beta.

For the time being, a workaround is described in the next post by jmangan.

In the meantime I had installed 7.2 and imported my V6 into that. Saved the converted backups from 7.2, re-installed 7.250 and restored my converted backup to that! I just wanted to be sure that my V6 backup wasn't odd in some way.

I haven't had a chance to play yet though.
