There is something wrong with the ISO

Hi,
I have downloaded the ISO 3 times. Twice to my Vista PC and once to my Mandriva workstation, each time I get the same size file downloaded, about 30mb smaller than published, fails md5 check and CD burner advises it is the wrong block size.

Seeing there are a number of people already using v7.300b i must be doing something wrong. I will have a 4th attempt from work shortly.

are you using ie? use FF and vice versa..also turn off a/v software.

Hi William,
All downloads were using FF. No AV on the Linux box.

Hi,
logged in from work and downloaded correctly using ff 2.0.0.15, same as at home.

Strange, I download other large files without a problem, all through the proxy.

Not sure what is wrong with the ftp server, I rarely have issues with ftp files, but this server is broken for me as well...
Managed to get the image with my trustful ncftp [;)]
And No, I'm not using FF or IE, i'm on Safari... on a mac !

I'll take care about that - can you please tell me which server/mirror you used for downloading which ISO (asg or ssi)?

I was using the non ASG hardware. The one identified in the v7.300b notification.

I had it fail myself, using straight FTP (using Core FTP as the client) in a similar manner, at least 6 times... no, I wasn't using the FTP or HTTP Proxy, just had port 21 open with the FTP helper in the packet filter... I finally gave up and used HTTP to download, that worked on the first try... I think it was probably a server issue. I was using download.astaro.com.

No proxy, no antivirus used.

Both ISO images in ftp.astaro.de are ok, we moved the .com server content to a new one yesterday, but also on the old server things did not look broken. Indeed the .de server had some load on the day of the release...
