as far as I can tell, the socks 5 proxy does not require user authentication.
I have a bittorrent using socks 5 without requesting authentication. The PF shows it going through the socks 5 proxy. User authentication is enabled.

The log shows failed authentication but not against every entry. I have added the user and pasword to the torrent to see what happens.
