this weekend i tried to download some big iso images between 700mb and 2.4gb. i used kasablanca on a mandriva box and on the astaro box ftp proxy.
when starting the transfer nothing happened but after some time (5 / 10 min) kasablanca showed some traffic but then crashed about halve the way. i have tried this on different ftp sites with different files to rule out site problems.
other internet traffic is still possible, internet radio keeps playing and as browsing web sites.
but when i tried the same files from the same web sites but then via http (firefox) it's working!
it's possible that the box is under powered since only a p3 500mhz with 512mb. cpu was 100% at the time of ftp traffic. storage space is fine max storage was 13.44%
