[7.185] concurrent connexions [NOT A BUG]

Hi,

I just receive the weekly report, and i saw something that need to be checked...
Could you like at the jpg file : it is the concurrent connexion for the week...

There is only two PC on the local lan so the traffic is very low ( Monday to Wednesday).

On Wednesday evening and Friday, i do some test using bittorrent so the concurrent connexion hit a top !!!!

but my problem : since Friday I have 300 hundred connexion concurrent and stable : and i have stop all the tests !!!! it is very huge for only two tests PC...
when I look at the /proc/net/ipconntrack, i saw a full list of connection related to my bittorrent staff, but there always here...
I join in the zip my current ip_conntract and ip_conntrack_expected ( empty ?)

Hi,
all your connections that are setup in your torrent will continue to attempt to connect until you change IP address.

so this is not a bug from asg [[:)]]

maybe you could try to block this connections with packetfilter-rules [[:)]]

You are right : that connexion are set by the P2P program,

- but since Friday the soft (µTorrent) is "down" : so no new connection/communications is done
- I have an IP that is FIXED : so even after several days il will have always 300 connections ???

after some time it should not drop these gosts connections ????

i think this connections aren't opened from your p2p-client but rather from your 'old-sharing-partnes'.

if your ip hasn't changed since friday the p2p-net tries to connect to you on the your old ip.

maybe you could try to execute
/usr/local/bin/ipt_clear_confirmed.sh
and see if this connections are dropped?

I tryed your script, and it dropped no connections...

I backup before/after the ip_conntrack, and it show no significative différence ( except a line ), there is still 294 lines...

See the logs...

the asg keeps not closed connections 5 days at the conntrack...

so you either reboot your asg and then all conntrack entries are gone or you wait until the time-to-live of this entries is expired
(e.g. this entry tcp 6 126111 ESTABLISHED [...] has a lifetime of 126111 seconds = 1 1/2 days left)
