Has anyone else has come across this problem? Everyday at 1030 the external interface stops working. In Webmin, the external interface link status icon changed from up to down. There is no change of status to the state icon.
After conducting some troubleshooting; I was able to narrow the problem to Remote Access using L2TP over IPSec. Currently there are no users using remote access so this gave me the opportunity to troubleshoot the problem. With Remote Access disabled, the firewall ran a couple of days without the interface dropping out. I looked through the logs during the time of the problem started and there was nothing in the logs that I could see that was causing the problem. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
