Link State incorrectly down

In the Dashboard of Astaro, the link state of the ethernet NIC is incorrectly down - as you can see in the picture I have added, the interface does perform I/O's, as it's connected to the LAN.

I don't think this is a serious bug, however, if one's touching the code, he/she should fix it.

PS: The 3rd NIC is actually down - however, I suppose same "feature" as described above.

    I'm afraid I can't agree with you: As pointed out in my first statement, the 2nd interface is the NIC to my local LAN - according to 'ifconfig eth1' and 'mii-diag eth1', all seems to be OK. If you have a look at the attached screenshot, eth1 is my management interface, too. So, if the link would be down, how could I connect to webadmin ? [;)]

    In addition, when downloading larger files - like astaro images or even SuSE-Images of DVD's, I usually don't expect any ethernet-errors on my LAN. Download speed between firewall and my local client is pretty fast for a 100MBit/FD ethernet and the images are - according to md5 signatures and installations - OK.

    I don't know why I get that information from dashboard - however, the link for eth1 itself is definitively not down.

    i got this "error" already with 7.10x on asg220 HA cluster.

    I think you can close this thread....

    I found out that the dashboard obviously  requires mii to work properly. The two NICs I used at that time aren't supported by mii - see /lib/modules/{kernel-build}/modules.def

    After replaceing the two NICs by two Intel EEPro all works like a charm...
