[7.180] Intermittantly Locking Up & Slowness [CONFIRMED]

Continues with 7.185.

CPU @ 2%, RAM at 17% of 2 GB, presently one current user.

Internet becomes unavailable for thirty to sixty seconds, and the web interface is unresponsive during this period.


HTTP daemon is throwing an unusual ammount of messages:

When pages do load, they're extremely slow, perhaps due to the heavy log writing?

    This is my home use box, supporting 2 users, ~8-12 devices.

    Dual Core @ 2.1 GHZ, 2 GB RAM

    1 GB Swap, 75 GB Log, 57 GB Data.

    Blocking all P2P, excepting Bittorrent (even though this still causes problems if run), and Direct Connect.

    IM Control - AOL, Google, and Yahoo Open.    Skype logged, IRC and Tencent Blocked.

    3 Interfaces, Ext, Int, WiFi (Uplink to AP).

    Only Spyware and virus content filtered.



    While writing this message, with no other activity the system locked up, a reboot resolved the problem.   I was browsing through the configs on the webadmin to verify the settings as posted.

    I'm still left wondering if the webadmin logging (1+ messages per second) is causing this issue.

    7.185 continues with the high level of logging for httpd.  The following lines appear once every two seconds.

    ok, i've seen this messages on my own asg...actually i'm trying to find out, what happens..


    it seems to me that the messages are caused by the webadmin...do you get any of these messages while NOT using the webadmin?

    it's hard to find why this messages appear. they appear at various webadmin pages (e.g. user > authentication..),  but in order to keep logging usefull we decrease the actual high log level of httpd to a normal level so this warnings should disapper.

    Correct, this does not happen when Webadmin is not in use.  I had no iterations of the events today, until I logged in to webadmin and started moving around.

    Just hat the same problem. It started directly after adding a HTTP antivirus exception.
