Cleanup after Package Install Failing!

Howdy,

I attempted to install the BETA yesterday on my machine. The install runs fine until that last step - then fails.

"Running Processes After Install - FAILED" I think is the message. v 7.104 installs and runs just fine so I am unsure why these results???

Any thoughts anyone?

if the 7.104 installation is fine try an upgrade from 7.104 to 7.180 and see what happens.

This sounds familiar, someone just posted the same complaint and found they had a powersupply problem.

The beta will test your hardware because it has a lot of extra debugging code, so memory and disk usage increases putting strain on other bits.

could you post your up2date.log ? maybe it gives a hint what happens...

I am going to try the upgrade route this weekend and will report back.

The PC I was using was having issues and it was either motherboard or power supply. Needless to say - it has been recycled!

I am now using a newer box that has much more horsepower... So I will try again...

you can always test your box with ie knoppix first to see if it has any issues... linux also has an memory test.
