considering the huge load the up2date servers must be under i would let this go for a couple of days.

no i don't think the up2date servers are the issue, as we have a dedicated server only for the beta users and i don't expect too many people testing it. 

please run this as root, it should give you mir inside where the issue is:

audld.plx --level d --nosys
