web proxy mangling website

This morning I got up and did my normal check of the weather. Low and behold I go to http://www.weather.com and the site is all over the place. skip the proxy works fine. Clear the cache and restart the proxy and still mangled. Only other thing left can try is to reboot. Not a good time to reboot. Other sites seem fine.

Hi, I tested http://www.weather.com with V7.091 & FireFox 2.0.0.10 and the page is loaded perfectly....

Figured out what is going on. I wouldn't think this should happen. If I turn of to block uncategorized sites it works fine. I guess there is something there. If I turn it back on again it gets mangled.

It appears to be a combination of things together. If I have caching turned on with
uncategorixed sites it happens. Each independent it does not happen.

When I go to the Astaro provided link and lookup the site, v6 usually has it but v7 doesn't.

I've tried it several times, always creates more work for me that it's worth.

Yes, the v7 URL database leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the anonymous proxy sites. In v6 I would go to the sites, copy the entire of available sites, and paste it into my blacklist. I used their own list against them.

I still have the list, if the Astaro guys should add a "import" option for the b/w lists I'll be ready. I have a list of close to 1000 sites that I was blocking. Some may have been dups, some may have actualy been catagoried correctly, but I did not have the time to try them all, so I just put every one of them in the blacklist.

Using the uncategoried sites would be great, if it didn't block so many other things the teachers use.

That was what I have been seeing also. I have found several school and business sites to be blocked. Also have seen it block graphics on pages.
