[7.080?] Possible Skype bug.

Since 7.080 we are starting to see reports from people on the internet not being able to chat to Skype users inside our office.

The person shows online, but messages are not getting delivered.

We are using HTTP proxy in transparent mode.
Skype is allowed in IM protocols.

Just a heads up, I will post more information as I get it.

Skype seems be not so easy to handle.
After tons of mails from asg with ips/portscan alerts, i use skype only with socks-proxy.

I have got tons of mails too. Can you give us some more infos how you configured the socket proxy.

Skype was working fine through the system prior to 7.08 as far as I can tell. No complaints yet today. Will see...

If there is really Skype traffic that gets handled by the (transparent) HTTP proxy, it should show up in the logs (even if it results in an error) - please check out /var/log/http.log

My problem was internet skype users trying to message staff inside our firewall.
User shows as online but no messages getting delivered to inside from outside.

However, i have only had a few reports of this happening Thursday just gone. Will check Monday.
