[7.086] Time on Dashboard Incorrect [CONFIRMED] [PATIENCE AWARD]

I am using [7.086] on my ASG120 and the time in "System Setting>Time and Date" is set to 09:13 Canada/Mountain. This is the correct time, however my Dashboard says 21:13. My timed events are going by the Dashboard time, and not the "System Setting>Time and Date" settings. As a result, my timed events are not working as they should. It was my understanding that this would be fixed in [7.086]. Is there something I am doing wrong? Everything was fine until the beta. Is there something I can do as a workaround for the time being? Thanks

What it was in my "System Setting>Time and Date" is:

Fri Nov 23 09:17:54 2007

The latter is the correct time and date.

The wrong dashboard time is "active" in 7.090 again - here in Europe/Berlin.

I posted the Problem 14-11-2007 and have got a DUPE from tom (https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/91/t/66288) and the comment: "We're fixing both of them."

Confirmed, problem still happening in 7.090. I have patience though, this is a beta afterall. If this was an official release I could see how people would be angry but it's not [:P].

Good news is, while the Dashboard displays the wrong time, my live logs are displaying the correct time. Now I'll have to wait and see if my timed events work. *crosses fingers*

Problem also affects me... I'm located in the Southeast United States, and am in the US/Eastern Time Zone (Daylight Savings time is in effect here) ... the current time is 17:35 and the Dashboard (and God knows what else) is showing 22:35. This is with Version 7.090 installed and rebooted.

Same here. Added problem of ASL probably not having daylight savings info for Western Australia (Perth etc).

We are trialling DST for 3 years, (this is year two).
After 3 years we'll have a vote on it.

I would REALLY like DST support for WA added.

All Astaro needs to do is update the timezone/tzdata package like all other distros do. It's not rocket science, but it does require someone to update the package regularly and push an update.

Yes, annoying Daylight Savings Time and all... I wish they would just leave time alone...

Local time is +10 GMT and +1 hour daylight savings ahead of dashboard time.

Thought that might have been fixed for RC1.

OK, we finally found the time offset issue. Thanks Simon!

We'll not include a new TZ RPM for the final (build is more or less closed), but there's an RPM available for western AU customers from our usual support channel.

There are two separate issues:

1) Time offset in dashboard and possibly elsewhere
2) Missing TZ info for Western AU

We fixed 1) for everyone, but the mates from Perth must get an RPM from our support to fix 2).
