Hi.
I have found a new error using the HTTP Profiles with time events.
Here the relevant definition (at the beginning):
time event definition:
Name: Time-HTTP-Test
Type: recurring Event
Start-Time: 19:00
End Time: 20:00
Weekdays: All (mon-Sun) selected
(The real time is: 18:xx. the dashboard shows 17:xx, I am in Germany (GMT+1) so i have to include the time 18:xx in the time event definition - this is a well known problem - and it is not the problem here).
Profile filter action:
name: Filter-Test
Mode: Block by default
Allow: categorie "Ordering"
uncategorized sites NOT allowed
Allow these URLs/sites: "www.spiegel.de" (i think: not relevant)
Always block "ebay.de" (i think: not relevant)
Block file Extension ".exe" (i think: not relevant)
Use Anti Virus Scan in dual scan mode, 50 MB
Filter assignment;
Name: HTTP-Assignment-Test
Users/Groups: NONE (transparant proxy!)
Time Event: Time-HTTP-test
Filter Action: Filter-Test
Proxy Profile:
name HTTP-Surf-241
Position: Top (=1)
Source networks: one single network host
Filter Assignments: HTTP-Assignment-Test
Fallback-Action: Filter-Surf-Free (well testst to allow everything)
Operation Mode: Transparent Mode
I used "www.amazon.de" for all of my tests:
With the definitions described below it works fine. I can simple test: The site amazon.de is shown without most of the pictures, because these are on sites normally "uncategorized".
After changing the time interval to 12:00-13:00 the assignment does not match and the complete homepage with all pictures is shown. That's OK!
After re-changing the time interval to 19:00-20:00 the filter condition matches -> no pictures : OK!
After changing the weekdays in the time filter definition: only Sunday is active (it is sunday now): the filter condition matches -> no pictures : OK!
After changing the weekday definition again: only Saturday ist active. The result was not i want to see: The filter "matches" (live log shows "blocked") -> no pictures.
And that is an ERROR.
Changing the day to Tuesday (to be sure I found a problem): The filter "matches" again : ERROR.
So the weekday-interpretation of the time event definitions used in HTTP-Profile filters is buggy.
Now i understand why my definitions with different time events for different days cannot work.
Tom, Gert: please let me know if you need some more details.
