[7.075] HTTP proxy problems [NOTABUG]

i upgraded my astaro to 7.075 a few days ago and i'm having some issues. the settings remained unchanged from 7.011, HTTP proxy in transparent mode, anti-virus disabled, content filter: allow, block spyware, no other option selected.
the following promlems are new, came just after the upgrade:

- randomly very long website load times. the load seems to hang at some images. after some time the connection times out and the page remains in a half loaded state.
- "An error occured while handling the request. Connection to server timed out" message. immediately after clicking on a link or bookmark i receive the message. after a few times pushing refresh the site is loaded.
- "Content blocked. The URL you have requested is blocked by a blacklist." i have no urls in my black list. this happens if i try to download a file. maybe it's not a correct message and the blocked extension filter is the reason, but as i said before my settings remained unchanged from 7.011 and i had no issues like this before.

oops, the title of this thread.. i forgot to mention that i'm from the future that's why i'm using astaro version 70.075..[:)]

Hallo,

I had the same problem, after upgrade from 7.011 tzo 7.075 all content was blocked with the message, you always had.
I have disabled the option "Block spyware infection and communication" in the content filter tab of the screen . Then all was ok.

If it is a bug or a feature, I don't know.

thanks, i'll try to disable it. i don't know how the spyware protection works /there is not much in the docs/. file extension filter is under anti-virus protection so it should only work when the protection is enabled. it seems there is some overlap between this two modules's function.

now I have enabled the flag and all is ok. But I don't know. why the disabling helped me.

Frufru it sounds like the proxy had trouble reaching the categorization servers correctly.

Please check out the http.log file to see what is going on.

hi tom,

i disabled the http proxy yesterday because of the many blocked and connection refused messages. today i enabled it to check the log you suggested, ran into the proxy boot problem, after disable-enable i loaded a page and checked the live log which was full with this message:
2007:11:12-16:36:10 (none) httpd[5520]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /PerlApp/wfe/asg/modules/asg_logfiles.pm line 845.
i loaded wetter.de, the load hung at some image from wetter.rtl.de for two minutes but i could not find any related info in the logs to this problem

i have to mention that with many pages i don't any problems but some simply hang at some state of the loading process /the last one hung while communicating with google analytics/

quick update: my http log's size grew from 6mb to 9mb in 30 minutes. i receive approximately 20 new warings every second

The warning is completly unrelated. It is from the logfile viewer in webadmin.
Are you viewing some (live-) log?

frufru I think you're mixing up the httpd and http logs ...

(httpd is for webadmin)

i checked live log and the viewer too, these warnings are the only entries there so i can't check the background of the hanging site loads

upgraded to 7.080 but the problem is still there.
tried to load prosieben.de, took more then four minutes to finish. first the loading process went fine but after three seconds it stoped at some images. i attached the relevant part of the log.

Does the packet filter log show anything ?

I had problems with my gateway and had to put in a packet filter rule to allow trafic from the ecternal internet interface out.

nope. the pocket filter rules are ok and i only have this problem with enabled http proxy.
