How do I get the beta version?

In order to get the beta version up and running, you have two options:

a) Fresh Install
You need to download the CD-ROM ISO image (447 MB) from one of the following locations:

HTTP: http://download.astaro.de/ASL/v7.0/BETA/asg-7.075-071108-3.iso
FTP: ftp://ftp.astaro.de/pub/ASL/v7.0/BETA/asg-7.075-071108-3.iso
Bittorent: http://download.astaro.de/ASL/v7.0/BETA/asg-7.075-071108-3.iso.torrent

After downloading you need to burn the image onto an empty cd and than you are ready to install it on your new ASG device. 
Please keep in mind that the install will erase all data that are stored on the harddisk.

b) Update an existing ASG V7.011 installaion.
You need to download the Up2Date package (99MB) from one of the following locations:

HTTP: http://download.astaro.de/ASL/v7.0/BETA/u2d-sys-7.075.tgz.gpg
FTP: ftp://ftp.astaro.de/pub/ASL/v7.0/BETA/u2d-sys-7.075.tgz.gpg

After a successful download, you need to log into WebAdmin of your ASG, make sure that Version 7.011 is installed. Than go to Management > Up2Date and click on the Advanced Tab. 
There you need to upload the downloaded up2date package. This can take a while depending on your connection between the Workstation and the ASG and the performance of the ASG system even up to 5 minutes and more. 
After the successful upload, click the "Apply" button. 

You can now change to the "Overview" tab and  and click on "Up2Date to latest version now", you will be able to follow the installation progress in the Up2Date progress bar or in the up2date log.

    I am using VM Ware server 1.0.4 with astaro 7.011
    the Update doesnt work!

    this is what i get in my logfile.
    I have downloaded the file 5 times an rebootet the astaro serveal times.

    any ideas?
