location of 915 update

Hi,

you just have to wait a while because the install files are downloaded automatically by the up2date process. Just take a look at the log files if you can't see them.

I have had this server running over a week now.  I have even tried disabling and enabling the up2date service to pickup the files.  No such luck..  The logs show nothing for the up2date messages.  I have rebooted the system at least 3 times also.  Any other way to force it to pull the update?

Are your virus scanners being updated? Current anti-virus version is somewhere over 920.

I suspect you need to apply Gert's fix to the dns list. You will need to search for it somewhere over the last 6 weeks I think.

from a console as root

/usr/local/bin/netselector.plx --infile /etc/up2date/authservers.ini --outfile /etc/up2date/servers.sorted

I don't think there any typing mistakes in the command.

I searched for Gert hansen's DNS list fix and couldn't find it.  Any more detailed hints on what to search for?

I'm definitely not getting updates.

I found it easier to find my own printed copy of what to do. That is what the line in my last message was about.

I ran the fix you gave and my up2date is now working.

the reviews about 915 are not good.  i am purposely not installing it.  there is no real substance to it.  i would wait if i were you.
