I am trying to connect v7 Beta to an Active Directory. I didn't have any problems with v6.303. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints on how to get this done. The error I am getting is "joining the domain failed." I am using the administrator as the bind user and the admin user. Thanks
There's no hostname field in the new ad auth settings. If it's using the hostname set in Management >> System Settings > Hostname, and that's longer than 15 characters, then that might cause it to fail... don't know if that's your problem tho.

up to 6.915 the hostname was taken to join the domain (bug), but it should take the netbios-name for it. As a workaround for you, you can change your hostname into a netbios-name (not: name.domain.com but only name), join the domain and then put your hostname back to your fqdn after that.
didn´t check this in 6.933 yet but I will give it a try later on...
