Link aggregation??

Ok, so I am having a lot of fun playing around with this beta 7 version.  I am learning a lot too.  It certainly beats the heck out of a linksys hardware router.  Anyway, I have a question now.

I dont really know a lot about link aggregation but I was noticing when i look in there, it only offers to group my internal nics.  I was thinking it would be cool to have another nic and another cable modem and aggregate the two nics connected to modems together.  Is this just not a possible thing for link aggregation?  Or is it just something that isnt supported at this time?

    i was hoping someone could tell me if it was possible at all, or if it just wasnt possible with astaro...?

    what i was thinking would be cool would be to have 2 cable modems (on 2 aggregated nics) to get 2 times the advertised provider rate.  is this possible to do?  if it is, when will astaro support it?  right now I cannot have my external nic in an aggregate group.

    I think you need to create you links before they showup in the aggregation pick list, then you can aggregate to your hearts content.

    It was discussed briefly in an earlier post, but I think it was part of another discussion, it definitely was not a thread heading.
