I have upgraded from a Dell 1850 to a new Dell 1950 and have not been able to run Astaro anymore. I see that the new Dell line is listed in the compatibility list and that is why I was not worried about upgrading the hardware. I have previously ran Astaro on all types of hardware and have never had a problem. All my previous installations have involved either old/new IDE or old/new SCSI drives. These new servers use the Perc 5/i raid controller. I am using 2 500GB SATA drives in RAID 1. I was not planning on using V7Beta, but the V6 won't even recognize the SATA storage or newer 5708 Broadcom Nics. V7 recognizes everything correctly. It finishes the install without errors, but after the initial reboot, the screen goes black before any Astaro bootup messages. It goes straight from Bios messages to a black screen and hangs there. There is no drive activity, and I tried pinging, but it times out. I'm almost positive that Astaro is not booting or doing anything behind the black screen. I have not been able to figure this one out[:S] , and it has put me in a real bind. I am using the latest V7 6.834 iso. I am downloading the previous 6.808 right now to see if I can get it to boot from that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
