Not sure what happened with this release - fixed

but,
the HTTP filtering is broken, I had to put this site into an exception list.

e-mail POP3 exception is broken - "you did not enter all the data or one or more settings are syntactically invalid". This was to put back the exceptions that were there prior to this version. You can't activate "prefetch" without getting the error message "one of the values you entered is syntactically or logically incorrect".
IE 7 has major formatting problems when using the proxy to access sites, it worked in the previous version.
Every second attempt is blocked in the content filter with an "error" while using IE 7 and Firefox 2.
I have rebooted the ASG after it did its own reboot following the upgrade and I have rebooted this PC as well.

The network stats report has vanished altogether.

On a positive note, the ASG booted faster, much faster and shutdown/restarted from the menu without my intervention.

    Further, I have had to put my internal network in to the http exception list with bypassing content removal just to look at this site with all its add ons.
    It doesn't work for all sites though, some are still missing items.

    My pop3 e-mail rejection rate has gone through the roof, stuff that was valid yesterday is now classed as spam and I can't find where to release it. I haven't tried since I put the network in the exeption list.

    To see the quarantined pop3 messages you have to create a user via webadmin (Users->Users->New User) or use the admin user.
    Add all smtp email addresses for this user.

    Then go to the "End User Portal" which you have to enable via webadmin (Managment->End User Portal) and log in as the new created user.

    There you can add the pop3 accounts (Mail->Pop3 Accounts) you want to see with this user. 
    After a logout an login you should see all pop3 quarantined messages for the added pop3 accounts and all smtp quarantined messages for the configured email addresses.

    thank you. My fault for not adding that I was unable to create a new user due to a fault in not being able to connect to the backend. Further I didn't add, that using the admin account I couldn't see any quarantined e-mails in end user portal.

    The admin user is treated as a "normal" user in the End User Portal. So you have to configure pop3 accounts for the admin to see quarantined messages.

    The proxy content manager from version 6, where the admin sees all quarantined messages for all users, is not now included in beta v7.

    In the previous v7b version, that wasn't neccessary. The admin user had e-mail accounts and I added others. There wasn't anything to see.

    Hi there all, 

    yes the behavior of the end user portal has changed.

    Up to version 6.819, the admin could see all messages there.
    Starting from version 6.834, the end user portal will only show the messages that are owned by that user.
    The system uses the SMTP email address of the user object and the configured pop3 accounts to determain which emails belong to which user.

    The WebAdmin will be extended with a dedicated admin email queue manager which can see everything. 
    This will happen in one of the next up2date packages.

    Most of my complaints/gripes have been rectified and things that didn't work in previous betas now work well.

    There are some not so good left overs which I have included in my e-mail.
