V6.819 Prefetch o.k but Installation Problems

My testing-machine was able to prefetch the Up2Date to 6.8.19 last week. 

I started the installation, now the Dashboard shows the correct version but every 5 min. I'm getting the following error-Notification:


Firmware Up2Date installation failed: An error occured during the RPM pre-installation test (1) Please check the up2date log file for detailed information.

ist this a real Problem or still cosmetic? 

btw: I'm unable to de-select this  notification-Mail in WebAdmin. If I untag the Checkbox for this kind of notification and click on "Apply" the Box remains unchecked. But when I reload the Page the Box is checked again. And the notification is sent...

    welcome to the club. Astaro shifted the beta up2date server (I think they moved both) over the weekend and didn't tell anyone until it was raised here. My testing indicates the boxes are on-line, but the up2date function hasn't been restarted.

    It is getting ontowards 24hrs since the servers went off line. As far as e-mail advice goes we are all stuck with it. Again it has been raised in number of threads.

    Moving network elements that are key to beta testing is not a smart idea and it is even dumber not tell people.

    it doesn't see to bee an update server iussue. The package is already downloaded and successfully decrypted.

    I had the same issue with me astaro box and reinstalled the 6.808, added only the ppoe connection and then the update worked.

    It would appear to be trying to install the same package over and over. I had this problem under 6.808 with a 7.15 until a later update was released for that package.

    With the up2date servers off line you will not get a newer version to overwrite the faulty one.

    KoC, you are correct. This problem is not related to the shift (or unavailability) of the up2date server.

    The problem you are seeing (failure during the --test install of the RPM) happens when you try to install a package that has already been installed. It looks like the installer started to install the pattern package but did not successfully terminate. Can you check through the logfile to the point just before that error occured for the first time?

    two days and one reboot later the problem disappeared.
