    Looks like the problem to me... this is from smtp.log and describes my problem exactly, messages not being released from queue;

    Please don't believe that I'm really depending on this system for business or personal communications, but, as an astaro certified engineer and premier partner, if I am to even consider recommending it in any evironment, I have to know it works, and not beta test at my customers expense.
     
    So far, this inital offering has a long way to go to live up to whatever stability that was so painfully attained through the massive overhaul that was version 5 and 6.
     
    So, yes 6.819 is definetly living up to my expectations of an astaro beta.

    This doesn't look good, this comes after a burst of messages that are sent from the queue folowing a disable, re-enable of the SMTP proxy, after this line, I start getting the "error="Could not pass message to BSMTP process"" messages and no other mail in relayed inbound.
     
    2006:11:09-21:27:38 (none) spamd[520]: spamd: still running as root: user not specified with -u, not found, or set to root, falling back to nobody at /usr/bin/spamd line 1146,  line 3.
