[6.808] Up2date to 6.819 aborting with error

I am experiencing the same issue.  Is there a fix without reinstalling?

Apply Gert's sort and see if that fixes the missing updates.

If you see the up2date available for installation it has been correctly downloaded and verified. That leaves almost no space for it being corrupt, or needing to re-download it.
With 6.819 (don't know for prior versions) the 'I' works but you now have to click it, it is not a mouseover effect any more.
How about checking the up2date.log file for what did happen during that installation?

Not an Astaro user (yet), just in the process of testing the ASGv7.

I had the same problem.
Could ping v7up2date1.astaro.com, but still couldn't authenticate.
It was the P2P Soulware IPS block that prevented it from authenticating.

Seems a little bug, Astaro blocking it's own updates.

Additional information.

When I apply the patch, both ways "Update to latest version now" or "Install" the message "Backend connecction failed" appears.
After waiting quite a long while a reboot was the only way to connect again.

we had the same problem. go to cli and type:
auisys.plx --configfile /etc/up2date/up2date.conf

it worked here. update installed successfully.

Thanks for actually checking the log file. Those log lines show the results of automatic runs, and automatic runs never install system up2date packages. Automatic runs are used to verify and unpack packages (as seen in the first run of the installer) and used to automatically install pattern packages (second run of the installer), depending on your configuration.

Try clicking the install button in the webadmin and watch the log, or run the installer from the command line like quasar3c279 said.

On an additional sidenote: I can't really believe that the IPS was blocking the up2date, or this would strike everyone out there, which isn't the case. Still it's worth investigating, thanks for digging that out.

please have a look if confdaemon is running on cli:
ps ax | grep confd

if it is not running type:
/etc/init.d/confdaemon start

now the update should work. it was the same thing here, forget to mention it in the last post. i hope now your update works well.

Got myself a 6.819 ASG.

And the "P2P SoulSeek traffic" blocking isn't an item anymore, literally.
It has gone of the list of Peer 2 Peer protocols.

Hey, my problem solved itself, I let the betabox run over night, next morning there was an up2date ready to be installed.
I haven't tried running andreas' script manually because I had no time...

No wonder, it is automatically run 4 times a day so you don't end up with a bad sorted server list in case your machine moves or the network changes. :-)
