We'd really like to bond our two T1s in such a way that all traffic is shared between them (instead of splitting up traffic using routing rules). In our dream scenario, if one line fails, we'd lose bandwidth, but everything would continue to work normally. Is this now possible using LAG? Has anyone tried it?
No unfortunatly you can not use LAG to share the load to your T1's.
This feature is called "Uplink sharing" and is on the long term roadmap of ASG.
The LAG feature can be used to bound two ethernet link together using a managed ethernet switch with supports 82.3ad.
Than you can use two times your linkspeed between ASG and Switch.
Besides that, the LAG feature can also be used to integrate ASG into an redundant switch enviroment.
