I'm using Astaro V5.841 and everything is generally working just fine. I LOVE it!
I installed Vonage VOIP behind the firewall and that works fine too. In support of Vonage, I'm port-forwarding 5060-5061 to the Vonage Device (a Motorola VT1000) just like the device's manual say. No problems.
So I thought I would enable the Astaro SIP Proxy. I placed a couple calls both in and out from the VOIP line and although everything worked okay, the SIP Proxy Reports don't show any call activity. All counts were still zero... fixed, and fully dialated. So I checked the SIP Proxy Log file and there's no call-activity. The log file indicates that the proxy is running, but nothing else otherwise.
I have the SIP Proxy set to:
Transparent and Debug Modes OFF
Outgoing Interface EXTERNAL
Allowed Networks INTERNAL
Call Routing DNS SRV/Host Lookup
Listening Port 5060
RTP port range 10000:20000 which is the Vonage recommended range.
So I have 3 questions...
1) Does the SIP Proxy work in the Beta?
2) Does the Reporting/Logging work?
3) Do I still need to set NAT and Packet Rules for Vonage if I'm using the SIP Proxy?
4) I have a local DNS server, so I don't have the Astaro DNS Proxy enabled. Do I need that for the SIP Proxy to work?
Thanks for your help.
