I haven't tried the beta yet, but I'm curious about the SIP Proxy.
Currently, I'm using 5.202 at home, and am getting some dropouts on phone calls when the VOIP device is behind ASL. It works OK if it's not behind ASL.
(I do have the VOIP device's IP set to HIGH priority, and everything else is med or low.)
The VOIP device is made by Centillium, and appears to use both SIP and RTP protocols (according to Ethereal. Ports are 5060 and 10001-10003).
Does the ASL SIP proxy handle RTP also?
Does the device have to support connecting through a proxy, or does ASL take care of everything?
Anyone have any positive or negative experience with the SIP proxy?
