[5.800] DynDns not running

Hi,

dyndns and hyperdyper is running fine on my beta system. Hyperdyper is a part of the http proxy's content filter.
Could you please check in Webadmin -> Reporting -> Advanced -> Process List, if "hyperdyper" and "ez-ipupdate" is running? Try to restart them:
/var/mdw/scripts/hyperdyper.sh restart
/var/mdw/scripts/dyndns restart

Also have a look into the logfiles:
contentfilter.log
system.log

How does your http proxy configuration looks like?

In the system log I am getting a whole bunch of error messages: 

malformed cache file: /opt/tmpfs/ez-ipupdate.cache

Are you sure the password is correct? Make a tcpdump on port 80 to see the communication between Astaro and DynDNS. Maybe this gives some more informations. Is port 80 allowed to go out? Have a look into the packetfilter.log. Are there packet drops on port 80?

please have a look if the ez-ipupdate.cache file is created in /opt/tmpfs.
If there isn't one, please check if you can use name resolution from the Firewall e.g. ping dyndns.org.
Pls check if the DNS proxy is configured and up and running.

I have the exact same issue with ASL 5.02. Upon investigation, the ez-ipupdate.cache file did not exist. I crreated it and will see what happens the next hour. Were there any findings or resolutions to the problem originally posted?

That shouldn't be a problem as far as I know. So I would expect the problem somewhere else.

Is your dns-proxy configured correctly and running ?
Please check if your ASL can resolve hostnames ?
Can you restart dns-proxy and dyndns.
"/var/mdw/scripts/named restart"
"/var/mdw/scripts/dyndns restart"
