I love V6! You guys ROCK!

Ok thats out of my system. Install went without a hitch. Noticed when I first tried to update virus definitions that it failed. Did a reboot and update went ok.

Tested Port Scan using grc.com but alas no notification email. Also tried the virus scanning on the pop3 side (I will setup an email server on the DMZ tomorrow). All test viruses were caught! Yeah! However the notification has no details. I thought that the pop3 proxy's notification emails would tell what type of virus was caught. It just has content blocked by surf protection?!

However I do see the email headers it does contain the x-weed-virus.

I will configure the smtp proxy tommorrow and let you know how that goes.

    Ok, I apologize. The portscan and admin notification emails are coming in. But now I am noticing that some of the graphs and reporting is not working. Virus reporting is not working, The content filtering reporting is not working (spyware graph is reporting nan). 

    Interesting thing, I went to ebay's website to see if Astaro is blocking spyware and stopping cookie ads and its not. I have it turned on in HTTP Proxy.

    There is an advertisment by doubleclick.com which is blocked by Astaro 5.2 Spyware blocker but is not by V6. The spyware blocker is turned on in the content filtering section of the HTTP Proxy.

    Simon I am sorry. I should have read up more on the known issues list. However I still think the pop3 proxy notification emails are not informative enough. I think it is a bug. I can look at the headers of the email and see why the email was blocked but not every user knows how to do that. Furthermore none of the blocked emails are quarantined in the proxy content. None of the test viruses I sent myself and some of the viruses I got today (Sober.P is doing a number on me) are in the quarantine, Does six just drop or blackhole pop3 viruses and spam?

    The broken pop3 replacements are a bug. The format is broken and so you can not see the whole informations. Your would have to look onto the source of the email.

    Also the missing pop3 emails in the proxy content manager seems to be a bug. I will report that to Astaro.
