[5.800] MegaRAID incompatibility.

Can you please provide us the complete product name of the megaraid controller and if possible the PCI Ids, Vendor and product.
This can help us to verify if we can integrate the matching driver.

This is to confirm that 5.816 fails like 5.800 on my hardware configuration.

Additional information. Hardware configuration is failing when Megaraid is configured in Raid 0. When configured in Raid 1, 5.816 boots normally. I am running 5.816 now.

Receive No HardDrive Found after hardware detection screen using 5.838. Configured array both 0 and 1, same error. Configured array for 0, installed 5.202 without errors.

Using MegaRAID (PERC 4e/Si Controller) in RAID-0 without problems in 5.816 and 5.838.

Problems show up when i try to boot the installer with 'nosmp'.
there, something from megaraid_mbox fails to initialize (see tty4) and retries in a loop -> no installation possible.
but since i _want_ smp, no problem for me. [:)]

please post some hardware details like Controller name, PCI IDs and a working module name (if known).
