Just got Astaro up and running again after a stint with Clarkconnect and found what seems like a bug in the webadmin setup area.
Upon logging in and getting the minimum stuff set up (including restrict the webadmin to only the local network), I wanted to change the name of the internal interface to something other than 'Internal'. I did so, and could no longer get into the WebAdmin site. I reinstalled (didn't know what else to do...) and was able to reproduce this as follows:
- Set the webadmin to listen to the internal and external network
- Get on a system on the external network (you can't change the interface you're connected on) and login.
- Change the name of the internal network connection to something other than 'Internal'.
- Once the interface comes up, you can no longer get to it from the internal network.
- Go to the WebAdmin Settings tab, and you'll see that 'Internal' is still listed as one of the allowed networks. Double-click to remove it, and it's gone for good. Now you can add the network address that it was named to and login from the internal network.
Basically, renaming the interface isn't changing the name in this area. Not sure if this is by design or a bug, but it's kindof an odd quirck.
Thanks,
John
