I currently have ASL 5.003 installed, with a licence that gives me IPS. but not any anti-virus subscriptions, and the update automatically pattern up2date is switched off.
The dates on both the virus and IPS patterns reads:
Thu Jan 1 01:00:00 1970
I get lots and lots of emails all saying:
Pattern Up2Date failed: Pattern Up2Date subscription expired.
Stopping Pattern Up2Date.
or...
Pattern Up2Date failed: Could not connect to Authentication Server 212.126.210.201.
Received 500 error message.
Trying another Authentication Server.
or...
Pattern Up2Date failed: Authentication error.
Following Authentication Servers could not be reached: 4
...yet I havn't got it switched on.
I thought it might be a problem with internet connectivity, but it has downloaded up2dates 5.002 and 5.003, and everything works through the box (email, http etc), and there is nothing in the packet filter logs.
Why is astaro trying to download pattern up2dates?
