packet filter rules - no german umlauts in comment

hi there,

after entering a comment with german umlauts (ü,ö) for a packet filter rule, the list which normaly shows the rules was empty. After a reboot the fw did'nt work. No web interface, no internet.... nothing.
There was a error message in the confd log file:
confd[3630]: failed loading repository from : '/etc/confd//storage.xml' 

After remove the umlauts (&uuml,...) from storage.xml everything woked fine. [:)]

    This is quite common problem everywhere in the computer world. I also had similar problems with out special letters, so I am already used not to use any other characters as from normal ANSI standard.

    I had the same experience with CP 4.1. But I think it is generally better to filter those characters in the first place instead of crashing the web interface. I had to edit the storage.xml and restart my ASL to get it working. This is OK if you have the time to find the problem and fix it, but if this happens to a standard user/admin it is simply annoying.
