is it not possible to have import options for backup. i give an example. now you have the only option to import a backup completely. and thats not what you want always. the option to select what to import like the network defs or users or vpn configs would be a nice.
You can export the backup, ensure that it is not encrypted and edit or merge the resulting text file before re-importing it. That might achieve what you need.
