virus pattern up2date

the virus pattern up2date sends an email with an attachment with up2date info. the only information whats in this attachment is

is this the only information what you get or are there any other types of messages. because if this is the only information, you can put it also in the mail. not as attachment.

maybe more information about what kind of an update is nicer. what viruses we protected for or etc.

    It would be good for the virus scanner to specify what Virus Name is caught , in what File Name when it caught a virus during POP3 scanning.

    This allow the user to call the sender and confirmed that finance.doc is infected, please clean and resent etc.

    Currently it is a generic e-mail.

    Forget to mention I agree to Kabela suggestion.

    By stating what new viruses in included in the definition, we know what viruses we are protected against when there is a new virus out break.

    Also let us know what defence is updated.
    Such as sometime the desktop may not have the protection, at least the pop3 scanning is protected.

    On the subject of virus pattern updates, does anybody know if the updates are still being fetched from astaro, or directly from kapersky?

    If they are still being fetched from astaro's server's, is it possible to change this?

    Increasing I'm finding virus's slipping through Astaro before the patterns are updated, even when set to every hour.

    Setting astaro to pull updates directly from kapersky would reduce the time take to identify and protect against a new virus.

    And if i really want to dream, I'd have updates installed using push technology....
