[v5.001] Content filtering

If I turn on the Cobian Surf Protection in my Home Eval version, I can no longer 'surf'. I get continuous pages about content being blocked because of a match on '.' (which every external URL has).

Anyone have any ideas as to what's causing this ? I've never tried to use the surf protection before.

maybe a stupid response but do you have accidentally set a blacklist rule containing a single dot? This would block all pages since a dot stands for any character.

I suppose that's a possibility, however, I don't believe I modified any settings. I only started the service.

I'll check tonight,

*** follow up - the default profile is responsible for the match on '.' If you modify the profile and select an applicable network, the problem disappears. ***
