Since v4 to v5 upgrade TFT monitor Out of Range

Anyone know if they have changed the default console resolution? I have 4 servers on a tft screen via a KVM, since upgrade when i point the tft to the astaro server, the screen just flashes video out of range.
Any ideas of a workaround?
