[4.770] remote logging does not work

Sure, i have a definition of a logserver. This logserver is a FreeBSD 5.1 server and is correctly configured to receive log messages from other servers on my LAN. In fact, this server works perfectly as a logserver for ASL V4. 

When i point the remote log option (syslog) to this server (definition) no log messages where received while the same setup works perfect with ASL version 4. The rules used in the test where imported rules from version 4 (i.e. they should work since 4 does the job)

do the facilities you selected hold entries, while the remote syslog does not receive logs?

Yes, i've selected everything so there should be entries after a couple of hours.... but nothing.....
