[4.737] Problem with Virtual Ethernet Interface

Tried to "overlay" a virtual interface on top of a physical interface on a HP DL360 server with two built-in Broadcom Giga NICs.

As soon as I add the virtual interface, all accesses to all NICs are blocked (even no IMCP replies to pings anymore). I made the same observation with V4.720 on the same hardware plattform. Login on the console still works.

Will have to reinstall, and avoid using virtual interfaces till resolved.

I am not sure anymore if the blocking is really due to the addition of virtual interfaces, as the Webadmin locks up temporarily (for minutes), while sometimes ssh still works.

Tried to set the syncratelimiter's status=0 as recommended for previous betas, but ths did not cure the somewhat erratic behaviour.

Looking now into the hardware side, and moving from the built-in Broadcoom NICs to the tripple NIC Pyramid card...

VLAN works fine for me, but alias interfaces are currently broken.

if the problem still occurs, please have a look at /tmp/mdwdebug.log
