[4.702] no communication after reboot.

please post some detauls about your hardware..
what were the last things you did before communication brokes?
 

this last thing i did was enabling the IPS system.
after that the system was getting slow and i needed to reboot.

another strange thing i found is that "ping" in the console seems to hang, it doesn't give an timeout or  something.

the hardware config is :
p3-450
196MB ram
8.4GB samsung HDD
asus p2b motherboard
wan nic = 3com 10mbps pci (codename boomerang)
lan nic = intel pro 100+

Same problem here.

After enabling IPS on WebAdmin my system was very slow and after reboot no communication possible.

Hardware:
Celeron 566
128 MB RAM
10GB HDD (IBM)
NICs: SIS900 (three of them)

Ok, solved the problem for me.

I disabled IPS in the /etc/wfe/conf/ips_settings and after a reboot I can reach the WebAdmin again.

I also had this problem.

After enabling IPS, I couldnt connect to the system, and as I was installing on a magnia SG20,l I couldnt watch the boot process.
