Just wondering out loud if ASL could be stripped of certain things like Squid and made to run off a CD with configs on a floppy. Or run from a Compact Flash. Something like M0n0wall but with the excellent ASL interface.
Logging would be limited to RAM or a remote log server. Embedded server with no harddisk would be lovely.
